Nail Art

In the past little while, I’ve started doing more with my nails.  trying to tackle some of the patterns , I’ve had a hard time figuring out how to easily make polka dots!  I noticed toothpicks don’t work very well, and while the point of a pen dipped in nail polish works somewhat, i learnt this as i did my nails while doing some study, it still  didn’t work that well for me.  And then the other day I was scrolling through Pinterest and I saw this picture!

Graffiti always looks good and here is how you can create this.

This graffiti look is basically just scribbling with nail polish.

get the look.

Step 1: Paint them black.

Lightning Nails Are The New Galaxy Nails

Step 2: Lightly sponge on accent colors, using purple, white and light blue nail polish.

Be sure to include some white in there to make for a more realistic looking night sky.

Step 3: Using a very thin dotting tool or micro-tipped pen, paint on thin white lightning.

Hope you found something you didn’t already know here, and come back to find more great ideas.

Makeup tips

To prime or not to prime?
Priming is a very important step in make-up Primers help to prepare the surface of the skin so that make-up goes on more evenly and smoothly and helps hold it in place throughout the day.  We have various options for priming so the right skincare, the right primer, and the right foundation will create the perfect, immaculate complexion every day

Don’t go to sleep with your makeup on.
Whether you get home at midnight after a night out or drift into dream land while watching TV on the couch, it can be tempting to slip into bed without washing your face. Try to resist. As you snuggle against your pillow, the day’s collection of dirt and oil, along with makeup, are being pushed into your pores. And, it’s those blocked pores, that lead to pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. Nobody really wants pimples. Too tired to make a stop at the bathroom sink? Keep a pack of makeup-removing towelettes on your bedside table.

Don’t burn your locks.
Hair dryers, curling irons, flatirons, crimping wands , these hot tools can help you achieve your look from straight locks to sexy waves. But, Style your hair safely by coating your strands with a thermal-protectant product, using the lowest temperature you can to achieve your style and avoid going over the same area again and again.

Tinted moisturiser.

Many of us make the mistake of reaching for a heavier cover-up during the winter, believing that our pale complexions need extra coverage. But this can lead to a caked-on look. Instead, I recommend a light tinted moisturiser: It hydrates and brightens at the same. The result: Dewy skin that stands out in the crowd. Simply use a shade or two lighter than your summer colour, and apply with a sponge brush.

Cream eye shadow.

A no-fail way to achieve a holiday evening look: Apply a cream based shadow. This product contains extra pigment, which creates a dramatic effect with little effort. Finish with an extra swipe of powder eye shadow, and blend in. When it comes to creating a fun look, don’t be afraid  to play around with it!
